Born in Dominican Republic and at the of age of eight came to the United States with her family to Orlando FL, where she later studied Interior Design at Seminole State College.
With 20 years in the interior design industry, Anel has held different roles and wide-ranging experience in ultra luxury retail sales, customer service, logistics, showroom management, business development, marketing, event production, construction projects and job-site management, as well as a full range of
interior design development and implementation for luxury residential, commercial, hospitality, marine and aviation projects.
A former Director of Design Services for the DCOTA (Design Center of The Americas), she has been featured and interviewed in local and national media outlets such as The Miami Herald, Lifestyle Magazine Florida, Go Design Go blog, interviewed on IslandTV, The American Dream Miami, Living The Dream w Ben and Rodney podcast, Shoutout Miami, among many others.
She is a coach, speaker, author and philanthropist, and currently has been appointed as the Chairwoman of the Board 2024-2026 of Global Innovative Foundation, a Miami Flori-da-based 503c- nonprofit organization working tirelessly to eradicate human trafficking, domestic violence and gun related crimes in our local communities as well as across the globe through advocacy and education. She currently lives in Hollywood Florida with her eight-year-old American Staffy named Tonka.

In January 2025, Anel De Castro attended the Human Trafficking Roundtable at Miami Dade College North Campus, where community leaders gathered to raise awareness and promote prevention efforts. The event also featured a screening of "City of Dreams," a documentary on child trafficking.
